Church Hill Covered Bridge

At only 19 feet, the Church Hill Covered Bridge is the shortest covered bridge in the United States. Originally, it spanned Middle Run on Church Hill Road. It was located near a sawmill on the Pike Farm. An abandoned church was located just up the road. The isolated location, and the fact that the bridge and church were supposedly haunted, made it a prime target for vandalism. It was almost demolished after falling into a dilapidated condition, but luckily it was saved and relocated to Elkton in 1982.
